From Workshop to Water
One of the most exciting stages in building a hollow wooden surfboard is the glassing process.
After the 4 days of glueing, sanding and shaping the surfboard receives its protective fibreglass and resin coating, enhancing its durability and performance but also bring that wonderful grain to life.
Watching the resin flow across the timber is where the transformation begins, the board moves from a handcrafted timber creation to something ready for the ocean.
Its the final layer before the first wave.
