In today's fast-paced world, finding quality time to bond with loved ones can be a challenge. We've seen father-son and father-daughter's in the workshop and it's a great bonding experience, exuding mateship and memories that go beyond the workshop.
Our 4 day wooden surfboard making course is a great chance to switch off from life and become immersed in the woodcraft world. Discover the joy of working with your hands, learning new skills and transforming basic materials into a masterpiece.
We understand the importance of personalised attention and hands-on guidance, that’s why we keep our classes small, ensuring every student receives expert tuition and support. It's a course that is suitable for the first time woodworker to the more experienced, where no one is left behind and everyone completes their very own wooden surfboard.
Over 4 busy days, participants start with the prepped materials of the surfboard and by day 4 they have shaped and sanded their board to perfection. Many students chose to leave their boards in Stuart's expert hands for the final touches of fin boxes, leash plugs and professional glassing and resin coating. Then the board is a bonafide surfboard, ready for sun, surf and salt - and a life time of adventure.
Our last two board courses for the year are running in August and October with spots still available, then our next one won't be until 2024. So there is still time to craft a new board ready for summer.
