Bywater Surfboard Making Course back in action for 2022

Bywater Surfboard Making Course back in action for 2022

We are well and truly into 2022 and Bywater Surf is about to see the first lot of this years' Surfboard Making students into the workshop to make their dream wooden surfboard.

We love seeing fresh new faces partake in the rewarding course, excited to see the fine crafted board they create and cherish for years to come.

After this weekend, there will be a Bob, Dawn and Gould Bywater Surfboard in existence. We look forward to showcasing these babies.

2022 holds 4 more course dates with limited spots left on each, the other courses being May, July, August and October - curious to know more and book in? Visit our Board Classes page here.

In the lead up to our 4 Day Surfboard making class, we prep the materials that make the surfboard... the paulownia skins, the cambia ash pinstrips, the internal rails and ribs and the nose/tail blocks.. The magic starts to happen when the students come on Day 1.

One lucky Mates Helping Mates raffle goer will be selected out of a random draw on April 1st, to celebrate and give thanks the wonderfully generous donations from our community. Our flood appeal initiative was born to help those desperately in need after the flood devastated homes, businesses and towns in South East Queensland and Northern NSW. The raffle is on until 31st March, so far we have raised over $2000 and couldn't be more stoked to donate to Givit. If you are able to, please donate what you can for a great cause and we may be seeing you in a surfboard making course this year!
